After searching for a good product to help add Omega 3's into my dogs diets I came acress Omega Fields website and tons of positive reviews. After browsing their site for a bit I thought I would give them a shot and purchase some Omega Nuggets and Omega Canine Shine. Boy I am glad I did! Not only do my dogs LOVE it, but I have seen a tremendous change in their coats and overall well being. Our girl Roxy had a bad case of Demodex mange when we got her and we worked really hard to help her hair grown back and Omega products helped us with that final hurdle. They LOVE those Nuggets. - Rayna P.Please see the photo of our three flax loving dogs, yes it would be an Omega Fields Nugget they're looking at, lol. Neighbors and strangers have commented on the beautiful shine the girls coat have. The vet has commented that most Yorkies have dental problems, but this little one has the cleanest teeth they've seen, we attribute it to the wonderful crunch of the Omega Fields Nuggets...that little mouth can make quick work of those treats!
From left you will see Sophie, Jordan (the little Yorkie monster) in the middle, and Macie on the right. Macie and Sophie are actually sisters, 9 months apart and have been eating flax and Nuggets for two years this coming September. Their parents were farm dogs that lived about a mile apart, no leash or fence could keep them from each other...there were two litters, we have a dog from each. They are the most amazing animals I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Our little Jordan is about 17 months old and as I said, she rules the roost, and has been eating flax and Nuggets for at least the last year.

I absolutely LOVE Omega Fields Nibblers and Nuggets. My dog and horse have shiny coats and can't wait for their treats. My dog sits and looks at the container... "begging" and the horse runs in from the field to get his Nibblers! Time to make some for cats now too! My cat wants to eat the dog treats!
I have atached a picture of my Palomino and Sorrel quarter horse that both love Nibblers! My Palomino is so beautiful when he sheds out! I have put down the Sorrel gelding gelding last Fall, but I am convinced that he lived a better and longer life thanks to Nibblers. He had foundered and I know flax helped his feet the last few years. And his coat was beautiful. He was my copper penny and my golden palomino always looked so good in the summer grazing in the green grass!!!

I have been using Canine Shine & Omega Nuggets for the last 3 months; I am an avid upland bird hunter and have noticed a significant difference in my dog “Barley's” coat. - Chad Boeckman, WIOur dog is without a doubt, so much better with Omega Nuggets. Who knew treats could give such a benefit!! We ran out of the treats so I had to give her the junk from the pet store and she immediately got all itchy and miserable - she has major allergy problems. I noticed the difference in her behavior within a week of giving her the "bad" treats.
Usually we make Petey sit and give us his paw before we give him a treat. (Petey, siiiit, paaaaw, good boy! You know the routine...) Well when we first bought Omega Nuggets, Petey gobbled up his sample. Later that evening he did his "duty" in the back yard, (vs. the family room carpet) so I went to get him an Omega Nuggets treat from the cabinet. When I turned around, Petey was already at my feet, sitting pretty, with his paw already in the air. You had to see it, it was incredible!!!

* Flaxseed is contracted for and purchased from northern climate producers. Because of the rich soil and short, intense growing season -- the flaxseed from northern climates contains a higher percentage of Omega-3.
Since the coat/skin is by far the largest organ on the animal -- it will be the first to show the healthy effects with a beautiful shiny, full, richly colored coat and healthy skin. You can usually expect to see results within four weeks. It sometimes happens sooner -- but since every dog has a different metabolism - we usually are comfortable suggesting a minimum of one month. Omega-3 is effective as a powerful anti-inflammatory, so if you have dogs with arthritis or hip dysplasia, you should notice them have more free range of movement within a one month period.

BOTTOM LINE: Omega Canine Shine is a much more concentrated supplement while Omega Nuggets are a most convenient and enjoyable way our customers have found to “treat” their dogs with the benefits of Omega-3 / fiber. A. Here is a brief history on hot spots -- I will try to make this a short answer. Hot spots are surface skin infections caused when populations of normal skin bacteria grow and overwhelm normal resistance. They are generally circular patches that lose hair, can be swollen, may exude smelly pus, and can be painfully itchy, causing the dog to scratch, lick, or bite to the point of self-mutilation.
Underlying causes -- poor skin and coat health - matted, trapped hair or allergies. Our Omega Nuggets and Omega Canine Shine™ flax products helps with both of these underlying causes:
* Flax works from the inside out, at the cellular level- each cell has a phospholipids layer /shell composed of Fatty Acids.
* Flax helps with skin and coat health -- shedding out less - stabilizes the integrity of the hair follicle. When dogs lack or are deficient in EFA's ( Omega-3, Omega-6--need correct ratio) side effects are poor skin and coat health and allergies. By supplementing with Omega-3 rich Flax - they will benefit with healthy hair coat - hence they will not have matted, trapped hair.
*Omega-3's are anti- inflammatory and anti-histamine -- they stop histamine reactions. Think of inflammation as bad guys - prostaglandin 2's ( there are good prostaglandin's as well- but I won't get into that right now) but think of the bad ones -- they cause histamine reactions and inflammation at the cellular level. People tend to default to cortisone ( steroid) to mask systems i.e.: Hot spots instead of supplementing with Omega-3 rich flax to work from the inside out.
* Hot spots are a symptom of EFA deficiency. Also note that if you have your dog on a rich high Omega-6 diet, the ratio is inverted and hence causes inflammation- causing allergies and negative reactions.
* Also Omega Fields' canine products are rich in natural tocopherals (antioxidants) helping the immune system. A dog is more prone to inflammation and allergies with a low immune system. Omega 3's promote healing, promote healthy skin and coat, and prevent re-occurrence of skin allergies and hot spots.
